These Teens Mean Busine$$ Global Excursions

Global & Entrepreneurial Program for Grades 9-12

Teens learn foundational business concepts, earn college credits, and make international friends in this youth entrepreneurship program. Prior to leaving, teens engage in summer coursework to learn about the host country, including its geography, customs, languages, education system, and historical slave trade.  The program includes a 10-14 day trip to immerse them in opportunities out of the country where they work with international teens by applying what they have learned in social entrepreneurship.  Through these collaborative lessons, the teens collectively develop small business ideas aimed at addressing a local need and bringing revenue to the youth, families, and villages.

  • Engage with a multicultural team of teens to design a business to benefit the global society
  • Get immersed in a new language and culture in an experience that sets the foundation for active global citizenship
  • Discover similarities and differences in life experience and perspective as you learn from and with youth and their communities
  • Leverage your unique experiences on job and college applications
  • Earn 1 MMSD or Sun Prairie high school credit, 2 digital badges, and 3 Madison College Prior Learning credits!
  • Boost your critical thinking, leadership skills, problem-solving.
  • Have fun while developing friendships with teens around the world!

The Global Excursion Program helped me learn more about culture, collaboration, and supporting others in a way I’ve never done before. During our trip to Africa, I learned how to give back in a more effective way. CEOs of Tomorrow helped me understand that entrepreneurship can be more than just starting a business and generating revenue.

The Global Excursion Program was more than just working with young people to bring in revenue to their families and the community. I had the opportunity to learn and share business principles to find solutions to educational problems faced by teens in Gaborone. This was a transformative experience for me to learn about other people and cultures while pursuing my passions for business and social change.

My experience with CEOs of Tomorrow has taught me how to overcome obstacles I have encountered in launching my own business. I was able to use my skills and experience to give other kids the resources to start a business and help their community as well. Learning about a different culture while also teaching and supporting others was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

I was able to dig deeper into the social issues my peers in Africa are experiencing to help start a business and inspire their community. My goal was to learn and contribute as much as possible, and I learned as much from them as they learned from me. I hope to teach other young people valuable business and organization skills, as well as soft skills I have learned that will not only help in the classroom but in running a business.

CEOs of Tomorrow has fueled my passion for activism and entrepreneurship. Now, thanks to the program, I feel like I can’t be held back from my own growth and dreams. I want to travel because it’s a beautiful experience that has taught me to appreciate what you have.

Participating in the Global Excursion Program enabled me to learn about a different culture, see a new perspective, and give teens the spark I was given two years ago when I first joined CEOs of Tomorrow and launched my own business. I was able to share how being an entrepreneur will help you adapt to different situations and know that mistakes don’t dictate your future — they help you learn and keep going.

I wanted to participate in the Global Excursion Program because I enjoy learning new things and helping other people. CEOs of Tomorrow has taught me how to connect with people and get out of my comfort zone. I was able to give other teenagers a chance to experience what I did when I started my own business.
