These Teens Mean Busine$$ Internship

An entrepreneurial internship immersion for 9th-12th graders living in the Madison, WI area

Want to have a fun summer while earning money?

Spend your summer getting paid, growing your resume, and refining your entrepreneurial passion! As a These Teens Mean Busine$$ Intern, at least 90 and up to 144 hours alongside a local entrepreneur PLUS gain 40 hours of in-class job-readiness skills. Use your experience to put you a step ahead in your career and education aspirations.

Participants must in high school and have completed any one of CEOs of Tomorrow’s programs, including our Summer Camp, AcademyIncubator, Global, OR Innovation Studio program. Students who have completed any business course at school OR participate in DECA Business Club may also apply.

  • Meet and learn from local entrepreneurs.
  • Earn two Madison College Prior Learning Credits (valued at $135/credit) and up to 2 Madison Metropolitan School District high school credit at no cost.
  • Begin to build your professional network.
  • Strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Earn up to $1,750 for your internship work.

2024 session

These Teens Mean Busine$$ Summer Internship – Summer 2024

  • Internship Orientation:
    Saturday, May 18 11:30 am – 2:00 pm
  • Job Readiness Training:
    Tuesday, June 18 and Thursday, June 20 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Internship Dates:
    June 24 – August 23 (Minimum of 90 hours, maximum of 144 hours, or 15 – 24 hours/week)
  • Coursework Dates:
    Wednesdays, June 26 – August 21 12:45 pm – 4:00 pm
  • Internship Celebration Showcase:
    Friday, August 23 9:00 am – 11:30 am

All teens participating in the These Teens Mean Busine$$ Internship Program have entrepreneurial experience through one or more of our These Teens Mean Busine$$ programs.

Beyond entrepreneurial experience, our aspiring teen entrepreneurs bring with them a high level of professionalism, collaboration and teamwork, and creativity and imagination, as well as great ambition, novel perspectives, fresh ideas, and an entrepreneurial mindset. They are eager to apply and extend their learning and ready to get down to business!
